The basics

Mystery Boyfriend is based in California, United States. By ordering or using mysteryboyfriend.com, you agree to these terms.

You must be 18 or older to order.

What you're buying

Each Mystery Boyfriend Story is a work of personalized fiction delivered as printed letters by mail, with paper keepsakes tucked inside. Every character, relationship, and storyline is fictional. Mystery Boyfriend is not a dating service, a chatbot, or a real correspondence.

Each Story is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. Prices are shown on the site at the time of your order.

Your onboarding answers

After you order, we'll email you a short set of questions. Your letters are written from your answers, and your Story joins the writing queue once they're submitted. Please answer promptly. If your answers arrive late, your letters may ship later than the estimated dates.

Shipping

We currently ship to the United States and Canada. Shipping is free.

Ship dates shown on the site and on your invoice are estimates. We aren't responsible for delays caused by postal carriers, weather, or holiday mail volume.

We'll send you an email when each letter is sent.

If a letter is lost in the mail or arrives damaged, please reach out to hello@mysteryboyfriend.com.

Please make sure your shipping address is correct at checkout. If your address changes, email us before your first letter ships.

Order deadlines

Seasonal stories have order deadlines, shown on the story's page. Orders close automatically after the deadline for each country.

Cancellations and refunds

Because each Story is written and printed for you personally:

• You can cancel for a full refund as long as personalization of your Story has not begun. To cancel, email hello@mysteryboyfriend.com.
• Once personalization has begun, orders can't be canceled or refunded.

Ownership

All stories, letters, characters, artwork, and keepsakes are the creative work of Mystery Boyfriend and are protected by copyright. Your letters are yours to keep, enjoy, and share with friends, including photos on social media. You may not copy, resell, or republish the letters or story content.

Limits of liability

Mystery Boyfriend is provided as is. To the fullest extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim related to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.
